Severe Injury Hit and Run Traffic Collision NR17374im

Sun Valley: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision that severely injured 52-year-old Keith Jackson, a resident of Burbank.

On Saturday, December 9, 2017, around 2:25 p.m., Mr. Jackson was riding his bicycle eastbound on La Tuna Canyon Road, just west of the 210 freeway. The driver of a newer model black Mazda CX5 was also travelling eastbound on La Tuna Canyon Road. The driver struck Mr. Jackson then fled the scene without identifying themselves, and did not render aid to the victim as required by law. Mr. Jackson suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision. The car is likely to have damage to the right front passenger’s side.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported Mr. Jackson to a local hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
