Investigators Seeking Possible Additional Victims

Los Angeles:   The Los Angeles Police Department and Northeast Area-Sexual Assault Detail detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating additional students who may have been victims of a teacher who was arrested for sexual assault.

On February 21, 2014, around 4:30 p.m., detectives from Northeast Area-Sexual Assault Detail arrested 47-year-old, Peter Christopher Gomez, a resident of La Habra, for felony sexual assault in the 4300 block of Bell Avenue, in the City of Bell.

The alleged sexual assaults occurred in 1999 when he was a teacher at Benjamin Franklin High School in Highland Park.  Gomez is currently a Drama and History teacher at Bell Senior High School.   

A warrant was issued for his arrest. His bail has been set for $950,000.00.
