Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Division detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a sexual assault suspect targeting lone females walking inside Debbs Park, located in the 4200 block of Monterey Road.
The first incident was reported on January 13, 2014, when a female walking alone in the park was groped by a male Hispanic on a bicycle.
A similar incident occurred on June 25, 2014, when a second female victim was approached by a male Hispanic on a green bicycle. The suspect asked the victim to borrow her cell phone. Once in close proximity, the suspect exposed his genitals to the victim.
An additional attack was reported on July 20, 2014, when a third female victim walking her dog in the park was approached by a male Hispanic armed with a knife. The suspect grabbed the victim by the shoulder and punched her in the face. Once the Victim was on the ground, the suspect stood over her for a couple of seconds then ran away.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic between 20-25 years-old. He stands 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 140 to 160 pounds. He has a light complexion with dark short hair. The suspect spoke Spanish to one of the victims and did not appear to be homeless.
