On November 27, 2022, Bilal Abdullah, 43, was shot to death inside a Winnetka home at the 20000 block of Sherman Way. Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Tony Ross, 38, for murder. Ross was arrested on November 30, 2022 in Canyon Country by the LAPD/FBI Fugitive task force. He is being held at Van Nuys Jail for in lieu of $2,000,000 bail. The motive for the murder remains under investigation.

 

Winnetka: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in the murder of 43-year-old Bilal Bin Abdullah of Lancaster.

On Sunday, November 27, at 3:00 p.m., Topanga Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 20000 block of Sherman Way. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male inside the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Abdullah dead at scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed, a male entered the location and confronted Abdullah in the upstairs bedroom. Several shots were heard, and the male fled the location in a red or maroon sedan.
