Shooting Leaves One Dead

Van Nuys: On Saturday, September 1, 2001, at approximately 9:15 A.M., Van Nuys patrol officers responded to a death investigation at 16023 Cantlay Street. Upon arrival, the officers discovered that a male had been shot to death inside his vehicle. The victim had sustained one gunshot wound to the upper torso and was pronounced dead by responding paramedics.
The victim has been identified as Matthew Clements, a 21 year old resident of the Van Nuys area.
No motive for the shooting has been established and no witnesses have been located.
