Update: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide has confirmed that the two victims transported to local hospitals are all in stable condition. A fifth male victim from the incident has also been identified. This victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

Panorama City: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for killing a man and injuring three others in a shooting.

On August 3, 2022, around 2:30 p.m., Mission Division Patrol officers responded to a radio call of a traffic collision in the area of Tobias Avenue and Parthenia Street. After a short time, the radio call was upgraded to an ‘Ambulance Shooting, Victims Down’.

Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced one male victim deceased at scene. A second male victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. A third male victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. A fourth male victim was treated at the scene.

Operations Valley Bureau Homicide assumed investigative responsibility. The investigation revealed that three vehicles were involved in a traffic collision. All parties parked in the area of Tobias Avenue and Parthenia Street, where they began to exchange information. An unknown suspect approached the group and began shooting at them. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

There is no suspect description at this time.

The victim who was pronounced deceased was identified as 37-year-old Jonathan Santillano from Sylmar.
