Los Angeles: Police are investigating the murder of a 47-year-old mother, killed at the hands of her own son, in their home in the 22100 block of James Alan Circle
On February 22, 2009, at around 10:45 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officers from Devonshire Division responded to a radio call of a death investigation with suspicious circumstances. When they arrived Los Angeles Fire Department personnel had pronounced Carmen Soria, 47 years of age, dead. She had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Devonshire Homicide Detectives responded to the scene. Their investigation centered on the victim’s son, John Soria, 23-years-old. He was subsequently arrested for murder and booked into Van Nuys Jail. Soria is being held on $1 million bail.
