South Traffic Division Seeks Public’s Assistance in Solving a Serious

The Los Angeles Police Department, South Traffic Division, is seeking the help of the public in solving a very serious hit-and-run felony case.

On Friday morning, December 3, 1999, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Silvia Gregory, 29 years old, her 9 year old son, Edgar, and another 8 year old, Felix Rios, were struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run vehicle that was speeding eastbound #1 lane on Adams boulevard near St. James Place. After striking he pedestrians, the suspect, described as a male Hispanic in his late twenties or early thirties, made no attempt to stop, identify himself or render aid. The suspect sped away northbound on St. James Place.

Trace evidence recovered at the crime scene has revealed that the suspect was driving a 19080 to 1983 Datsun 200SX Hatchback, silver blue in color. The vehicle should have damage to the front of the car as well as to the hood.
