DETAILS:
On September 23rd, at the Elysian Park Police Academy, the Department will host 25 kids with cancer from across the United States. The day will include a swearing-in ceremony, during which each child will receive a junior badge, making them an honorary police officer. The kids will then be paired with a reserve officer and take part in an interactive experience featuring demonstrations and static presentations from Air Support, Metro Mounted Unit, SWAT, Bomb K9, Dive Team, Bomb Squad, Motors, and Communications.
