Los Angeles: On April 18, 2019, around 12:05 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Central Division patrol officers responded to a domestic violence radio call in the 800 block of South Hill Street. At some point during the domestic dispute the father, suspect, grabbed the 9-month-old infant from the mother’s arms and ran to a vacant apartment located in the same building. When officers entered that apartment, they located the suspect and infant inside a bathroom. Officers observed the suspect physically assaulting the infant. Officers used less-lethal force options to subdue the suspect and rescue the infant.
The victim was transported to local hospital and is receiving medical treatment for serious injuries. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Michael Freeman, DOB: 05/13/1989, was booked for 664/187 PC and his bail was set at $1,000,000.
