Suspect Arrested for Triple Murder NR26172cm

Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division (RHD) announces the arrest of the suspect responsible for the killings of Los Angeles residents Jeremiah Badeker, Jack Cartegena, and Michael Bogacz.

In the early morning hours of July 24, 2026, the suspect and the victims were gathered in an apartment in the 1900 block of Wilcox Avenue in the city of Los Angeles. Inside the apartment, an altercation occurred, and the victims were ordered to the floor at gunpoint by the suspect. While the victims lay on the ground, the suspect shot them numerous times. The victims were discovered several days later and were pronounced deceased.

The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Patrick Kevin Spurlock. On August 14, 2026, Spurlock was arrested in the 6600 block of Franklin Avenue for 187 (a) PC: Murder and booked at the LAPD’s Metropolitan Detention Center with booking number 7298395, and no bail.

The case has been presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
