Suspect Rapes Victim In East Hollywood NR19076sr

The area the victim was lured to is described
as an emergency exit “stairwell.” The suspect has been seen in
Santa Monica and may frequent the Compton area.

East Hollywood:
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Area
are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that
will lead to the arrest of the suspect who sexually assaulted a
victim.

On March14, 2019, around 6 p.m., in the 1500 block of North
Vermont, the victim asked the suspect for directions. The suspect
then lured the victim into a secluded, emergency exit-room at the
Metro Red-Line Station. The suspect strangled, punched and raped
the victim. The suspect is a transient who frequents the Metro
Stations from Compton to Santa Monica Stations.

The suspect is described as a male Black, brown eyes, stands
between 5 feet and 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about
165 pounds to 180 pounds, shaved head, wears an earring on his
right ear, has a 2- inch to 3- inch scar on his left forearm,
wearing all dark clothing.
