Suspect Wanted in Double Fatal Hit and Run NR19104ti

Sunland: Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the driver involved in a double fatal hit and run.

On Friday, April 12, 2019, around 7:10 p.m., a white, 2015, Dodge Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on San Fernando Road. According to witnesses, the white Dodge Charger was speeding and driving reckless with a dark color Dodge Charger before colliding with a blue, 1998, Toyota Corolla. The Toyota was negotiating a left turn onto southbound Lankershim Blvd from westbound San Fernando Rd at the time of the collision. The dark color Dodge continued eastbound San Fernando Rd without stopping or rendering aid.

The Toyota driver, a female in her 50’s and passenger, a male also in his 50’s both were pronounced dead at scene. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The white Dodge driver, a 25-year-old resident of Pacoima and her two passengers were transported to local hospitals by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The driver and a female passenger continue to remain at the hospital with severe injuries. The male passenger sustained minor injuries and was later released from the hospital.

The driver of the white Dodge displayed a willful disregard for human life. She remains at a local hospital due to the extent of her injuries, and will subsequently be arrested and booked for murder.

The driver of the dark Dodge Charger failed to stop to render aid and identify himself, as required by law and fled the scene. Drivers are reminded that they must obey the rules of the road. Speed kills, and reckless driving will not be tolerated in the City of Los Angeles.

The suspect is described as a male unknown driving a dark Dodger Charger.
