"Suspects Beat and Rob Lone Victim"

Los Angeles – On May 28, 2000, at approximately 6:45 P.M., a male victim was outside a liquor store in the 400 Block of South Indiana Street, when he was approached by several male Hispanic suspects. One of the suspects demanded money from the victim. The victim, in fear for his safety, went inside the liquor store to summon assistance from the police. The four suspects then entered the store. One of the suspects then struck the victim with a bottle and stabbed him. The suspects then kicked the victim multiple times. The suspects then fled from the location in a vehicle; possibly a red 1980-1985 Oldsmobile.

The victim, a Male Hispanic, 20 years old, sustained cuts to his arm and head. He was transported to a local area hospital where he was treated for his injuries, and is currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives Ramirez and Corona, Robbery Unit, Hollenbeck Operations Support Division, are investigating this incident.
