Taxi Cab Driver Found Dead

Los Angeles – On June 11, 2001, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Southeast Area patrol officers responded to a citizen report of a possible dead body in the 9100 block of south Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim on the street with apparent gunshot wound. Southeast Homicide detectives assumed the investigative responsibility. The victim was subsequently identified as Hak Choon Chun, 61-year-old male Korean from Westminster. The victim was a taxi driver, and was working a fare in the area. The cause of death appears to be from a gunshot wound.
The motive is unknown.
