Taxi-Cab Driver Killed In Pacific Division

Oakwood – On Sunday, July 8, 2001, at approximately 1:45 A.M., the victim, Keum Sik Kim, 59 years old male Korean, was found at the 800 block of Brooks Avenue, stabbed to death. The victim was a taxicab driver who apparently picked up a customer and took him to the above location. The customer apparently stabbed the victim and then fled on foot through an alley near Brooks Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard. The suspect is described as a male, unknown decent, 18-20 years of age, 5-10, thin build, wearing a dark sweatshirt.
The motive of this crime is unknown, though robbery is a possible motive.
The weapon and suspect still remain at large.
