WHY:    The Teen CPAB retreat is designed as an intensive five-day program that will engage students in developing critical thinking and communication skills.  Student participants will explore challenging concepts such as diversity, discrimination and bullying.  They will prepare themselves to create positive change in their own school communities with the active support of expert facilitators, law enforcement professionals, MOT staff and other adult allies. The participants will explore ways to increase community
dialogue and support especially between adults and teens, and community
members.

Through interactive processes and using the immersive Museum of Tolerance exhibits and assets students will understand their responsibility and ability to confront bias-based behavior. They will practice and develop strategies to combat bullying, racism, and violence and will walk away with their own plans for next steps in addressing these issues within the CPAB context.
