"Traffic Collision Claims Crossing Guard’s Life"

North Hollywood – On Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at approximately 7:20 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at the corner of Magnolia Boulevard and Bakman Avenue. A crossing guard described as a male, White, 60 years of age was struck by a 17-year-old that was driving on Magnolia Boulevard. The vehicle also collided with a light pole and a building. The victim was transported to a near by hospital by a Rescue Ambulance where he was pronounced dead.

The 17-year-old driver was questioned and released at the scene.
