Traffic Detectives Seek Auto Theft Suspect NR23123wm

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Detectives, are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in an auto theft.

On April 30, 2023, around 10:50 p.m., the driver of a 2022 Dodge Charger was observed by officers conducting burn outs at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Figueroa Street at a “Street Takeover”. Officers found the vehicle and driver and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, however, the driver fled from officers and eluded them. The Dodge had a rear license plate that was issued to an Infinity.

On May 12, 2023, the vehicle was found parked in the area of Vernon Avenue and McKinley Avenue and the Infinity license plate was on the vehicle. A check on the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) revealed the vehicle was stolen out of the City of Downey.

The driver is described as a male Hispanic, black hair, with a mustache, and is between 18 to 25 years old. Video of the driver, at the street take over, will be posted on Central Traffic’s social media accounts: YouTube “LAPD Central Traffic,” Twitter @LAPDCTD24, Instagram @LAPD_CTD_24
