"Traffic Fatality of a 2 Year Old Victim"

Los Angeles: On Friday, September 1, 2000 at approximately 10:05 a.m., two-vehicle collision occurred on 79th Street and Main Street. A 1975 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by 21 year old Oscar Cedano of Long Beach was southbound Main Street when it collided with a 1985 Dodge Caravan driven by 31 year old Yolanda Davis which was westbound on 79th Street. According to witnesses, the vehicle driven by Mr. Cedano proceeded through a red light causing an impact, which resulted in a fatal injury to the 2-year-old daughter of Ms. Davis. There were 5 occupants including Ms. Davis and her 2-year-old daughter. One other child was seriously injured and two other children are reported to be in good condition. Ms. Davis did not complain of any injuries. The surviving children are expected to fully recover.

Mr. Cedano did not complain of any injuries and there was no indication of intoxication by any of the involved drivers. No arrest has been made in this case and is currently under investigation.
