Transient Male Is a Victim of Homicide

Woodland Hills: On December 8, 2001, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a pedestrian walking in the 22500 block of Ventura Boulevard, discovered the body of a male lying in a parking lot adjacent to a car wash. The pedestrian called 911 and Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
West Valley Homicide Detectives responded and are conducting the investigation. The victim was a 54 year-old Hispanic male who apparently died as a result of sustaining multiple stab wounds to his torso. The incident occurred in a small enclosure where the victim had been sleeping on the car wash property. The motive for the killing is unknown, although robbery has been eliminated.
No suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with the crime and the murder weapon is still outstanding.
The victim’s identity however, is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
