470 Bauchet Street, Los Angeles

Los Angeles: On any given day, over 1 ½ million passengers travel via the metro transit system throughout the City of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Transit Group, are responsible for the safety of those passengers. Whether the patrol assignment is located on the miles of established bus lines, or within the Red Line subway system, Transit Group Officers ensure a high level of protection over a large defined area.
The Transit Group Boosters Association, a local membership of Los Angeles residents and business owners, are showing their appreciation to the many LAPD officers and staff members who serve the transportation system by sponsoring a full day of celebration with food. Striving to encourage a positive atmosphere, the Transit Booster Group is also responsible for several LAPD functions including the annual Transit Holiday Party.
The meal appreciation day is an excellent opportunity for the media to observe the special relationship that a booster club and an LAPD division share towards their common goal: a safe environment for Los Angeles commuters.
