On January 28, 2023, around 2:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department West Los Angeles patrol officers received multiple 911 calls of a shooting at a residence in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive. Three of those victims were pronounced dead at scene. The victims were inside a vehicle when they were murdered. The victims have been identified as Iyana Hutton (33 years old), Nenah Davis (29 years old), and Destiny Sims (26 years old).

On March 29, 2023, Robbery Homicide Division Detectives served a search warrant at an apartment building in the 8600 block of Wilshire, in the city of Beverly Hills. As the homicide investigation continued, Detectives compiled and disseminated a Crime Alert with information they received from both witnesses and nearby surveillance video. Detectives discovered that the suspects responsible for the triple homicide were last seen driving a blue 4-door Tesla with damage to the right front fender and no license plates. Tips from community members who saw the suspect’s vehicle in and around the West L.A. and Beverly Hills area lead investigators to an apartment building in the 8600 block of Wilshire Blvd. A warrant was obtained to search the apartment. Detectives discovered that the apartment was empty and are in the process of obtaining any forensic evidence that may have been left behind.
