Two Female Victims Die from a Traffic Collision on Crenshaw Boulevard

Los Angeles – On Friday, June 9, 2000, at approximately 2:10 a.m., a 1987 Ford Thunderbird, maroon in color, was traveling southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard. Witnesses at scene described the vehicle to be traveling at a high rate of speed and apparently out of control. The vehicle collided with a large tree on the raised center median strip and overturned. The vehicle came to rest, top side down, near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Brynhurst Avenue. There were two occupants in the vehicle, the driver and front passenger. They are both described as female, Blacks, between the ages of 25 and 35 years old. The driver and passenger expired at the scene as a result of traumatic injuries sustained during the traffic collision.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and is attempting to notify the next of kin.

The Los Angeles Police Department, South Traffic Division detectives are conducting the traffic collision investigation.
