Two Juveniles Arrested for Murder NR22293ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Bureau Homicide detectives have arrested two 17-year-olds, one male and one female, for the murder of Du Young Lee.

On October 1, 2022, around 1:15 p.m., the juveniles entered Lee’s place of business and ran out the store without paying for items taken.

Lee pursued the juveniles, ultimately confronting the pair at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Wall Street. During the confrontation, the male juvenile produced a handgun and a struggle ensued over the gun. During the struggle, Lee fell onto the street and the male juvenile stabbed Lee multiple times. Both juveniles fled on foot and were subsequently detained by police.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and rendered life-saving efforts. Despite their efforts, Lee succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at scene.

Both juveniles were booked and charged with murder.
