Two Men Shot and Killed in Glassell Park area NR13248gb

Los Angeles: South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information regarding a hit-and-run incident that killed a pedestrian as he crossed the street.

On July 20, 2013, about 6:15 p.m., 18-year old Markeis Vonreece Parish, a resident of Los Angeles, was crossing in an unmarked crosswalk on Crenshaw Boulevard and 78th Street when he was struck by a newer model Mercedes Benz (silver color),which was travelling southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle has been described only as a male Black.

The driver of the car did not remain at scene to render aid or to identify himself.  At this time, there are no more descriptive details of the suspect or his vehicle.

After the incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
