Two Men Shot During Confrontation NR12239kr

Los Angeles:   Saturday evening two men standing on a sidewalk were shot and one of them died at scene from their injuries.

On Saturday, May 27, 2012, at around 7:20 p.m., 46-year-old Trammel Walker and a 39-year-old man were standing on the sidewalk in the 7400 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard.  Two male Black suspects in their late teens to early twenties, walked up to the men and engaged them in a short conversation.  One of the suspects took out a handgun and shot Walker and the second victim.

Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced Walker dead at scene. The other victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and was released later the same day.
