Two Suspects Responsible for Murder Arrested NR18166ti

San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Homicide Detectives announce the arrest of 21-year-old Mario Gallegos and 32-year-old Carlos Rivera for Murder.

On June 14, 2018, around 9:25 a.m., the victim, Tony Bustillos, a 52-year-old male was sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot near the 200 block of North Pacific Avenue, in the city of San Pedro. Mr. Bustillos was talking with friends, when suspects fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking him and causing him to fall to the ground.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location to render aid and transport the victim to a local hospital; however, Mr. Bustillos died from his injuries.

During the course of the investigation, Harbor Area homicide and gang detectives identified and located two suspects responsible for the murder of Mr. Bustillos. The suspects were arrested for murder. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday, June 18, 2018 for filing consideration.

Mario Gallegos and Carlos Rivera who are affiliated with a street gang are in custody and being held on $2,000,000 bail.
