Unprovoked Shooting Leaves One Dead in Hollenbeck Division

Los Angeles: Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of 46 year-old Marvino Davis, a resident of Los Angeles.

On June 26, 2003, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Davis was walking on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Spence Street. A two door, 1990 Honda Accord with two male Hispanic occupants stopped in front of Davis. One of the suspects got out of the car, walked up to Davis and shot him several times. The suspect returned to the vehicle and sped away from the location.

Los Angeles City paramedics responded to the scene and transported Davis to a local hospital where he died as a result of his gunshot wounds.

The suspects and weapon remain outstanding. The suspects are only described as two male Hispanics with shaved heads.
