Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department detectives identified two women suspected of abducting a 6-week-old infant, Devon Calloway, from his mother’s arms yesterday.

"The initial descriptions are still quite accurate," said Detective Maria Rivas.  "But, thanks to some tips, we have been able to identify the two women.  We hope this break will take us another step closer to finding the child."

The driver of the black or gray Ford Explorer was identified as 43-year-old Annette Betts Bryant, who is Black, with a hair weave and heavy build.  She was in the company of another Black woman, Sylvia Nunn, who was wearing a black scarf on her head.

Detectives are continuing to run down leads in the case.

A photograph of Bryant is available from Media Relations Section upon request.
