Valley Jail In-Custody Death (ICD) NRF040-21ne

On July 24, 2021 around 2:30 p.m., Valley Jail Section personnel were conducting detention tank checks and noticed that the decedent was in her room alone, on her bed an unresponsive. The Detention Officer reported the emergency and obtained medical attention from the jail dispensary. Both the medical staff and the Detention Officer began to render medical aid while the watch commander requested a rescue ambulance.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and determined decedents time of death.
