Victim Collapses From Gunshot and Dies Outside Supermarket

On Monday evening, April 12, 1999 at approximately 5:15 p.m., the victim, Issac Cotton Chandler, a male, Black, 24 years old, walked into the neighborhood supermarket located in the area of 104th Street and South Central Avenue. Chandler advised employees inside the store that he had been shot. He then exited the market and collapsed outside near the front door.

Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the Chandler to Martin Luther King Emergency Hospital for medical treatment. Chandler succumbed to a gunshot wound to the upper body. Death was pronounced at 6:57 p.m.

The motive for the crime is unknown. The suspect(s) and murder weapon are outstanding.
