WHY: On November 17, 2008, at around 2:00 a.m., in the 200 block of Breed Avenue, Adam Quintana bludgeoned his friend, Fernando Garcia to death with a hammer. Quintana then callously dumped the victim’s body in a trash bin and left the area.

The combination of the media coverage and reward of $50,000 played a role in finding Quintana in Las Vegas. He was taken into custody on November 28, 2008, by Las Vegas Police investigators and was brought back to Los Angeles to face murder charges.
