Los Angeles – On Thursday, June 14, 2001 at 11:30 A.M., the men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Los Angeles Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Explorer Scouts and civilians will be honored at the 36th Annual "Hue & Cry" Awards Luncheon at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles.
This event is sponsored by the Wilshire Center Chamber of Commerce, the Wilshire Rotary Club of Los Angeles and the Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce. The event is a tradition in the community and provides an opportunity for businesses and civic organizations to acknowledge the contributions of those who protect and serve us throughout the year.
The following LAPD personnel will be honored: Reserve Officer Gene Costin, Police Officer III Eric Mollinedo, Explorer Lieutenant Alicia Sevilla, Senior Lead Officer Miguel Lopez, Wilshire Division Secretary Sara Saucier, Police Officer III Armando Rodriguez, Sergeant Daniel Bunch, Explorer Scout Inmar Valle, Reserve Officer Ceasar Terrientes, Volunteer Clerk Porfira Castaneda, and Police Officer Patrick Beighley. LAPD honorees will be made available to the media for special interviews.
The Los Angeles City Mayor Richard Riordan, Chief of Police Bernard C. Parks, Lou Rawls, and Steve Guttenberg will be among those attending the Awards Luncheon.
