Woman Found Dead in Boyle Heights

Los Angeles:  Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Boyle Heights.
On Sunday, February 5, 2006, at approximately 2:45 p.m., children were playing basketball at Hollenbeck Middle School, on outside courts located at 6th and Mott Streets.
A parent smelled a strange odor coming from a shopping cart just outside the school fence.  Seeing what appeared to be a body covered up inside the shopping cart, the parent called 911.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded and paramedics pronounced the victim dead.
No suspects have been identified.
At this time no identification of the victim has been made.  The female Hispanic appears to have been dead for several days.  Cause of death is pending.
