Woman Found Dead Near Railroad Tracks

Los Angeles: The body of a 26-year-old woman was found in the early morning hours on Saturday, February 8, 2006. 
Vernon Police Officers responded to the 3400 block of 26th Street and found the body near the railroad tracks.  They conducted the initial crime investigation and determined that the murder occurred in the City of Los Angeles.  77th Homicide Detectives assumed the investigation and established that the victim had been stabbed to death at the Boulevard Motel, located in the 6900 block of South Figueroa Street on February 4, 2006.
The motive for this incident is unknown. 
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification to her family.
