West Bureau Homicide investigators identified suspects in the killing of 24-year-old Nazeer Defares, a resident of Georgia. On February 27, 2021, around 2:20 p.m., the FBI Fugitive Task Force adopted the case and arrested 22-year-old Robert Aikens, a resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and 20-year-old Shidreyius McClinton, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia. Detectives believe that the suspects killed the victim during a robbery and pushed the victim out of a moving vehicle at the Rosewood crime scene.
On March 2, 2021, West Bureau Homicide investigators presented the case to the District Attorney. The District Attorney filed Murder charges on both suspects. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information should contact LAPD West Bureau Homicide investigators at (213) 382-9470.
Wilshire: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of 24-year-old Nazeer Ejua, Defares, a resident of Decatur, Georgia.
On February 26, 2021, around 6:41 p.m., Wilshire area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an, “Ambulance Shooting,” at Rosewood Avenue and Gardner Street. When officers arrived, they found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound between two vehicles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Defares dead at the scene.
According to witnesses, they heard two to three shots and found the victim on the ground.
There is no suspect description and the motive is unknown.
