LAPD will debut it’s new exciting youth mentoring program National Youth Project Using Minibikes (NYPUM) where police officers mentor kids while teaching them how to ride minibikes.

DETAILS:
Members of the media will be able to observe the officers as they instruct the kids on various minibike skills at the LAPD off-road training facility. The officers and the youth participants as well as program partners will be on hand to provide insight on the new program along with their personal experience in participating in this unique mentoring program. Officials from NYPUM and the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Commission will also be present to discuss their partnership with NYPUM. Media are encouraged to arrive at 11:30 PM in order to coordinate access into the LAPD Davis Training facility.
