West Bureau (WB) is comprised of a 124 square mile territory with a population of approximately 840,400 residents. The border of WB to the North is Forest Lawn Drive, to the East is Normandie Boulevard, to the South is El Segundo Boulevard, and to the West is the Pacific Ocean. The Bureau oversees operations in the following communities: Hollywood, Wilshire, Pacific and West Los Angeles, as well as the West Traffic Division, which includes the neighborhoods of Pacific Palisades, Westwood, Century City, Venice, Hancock Park, and the Miracle Mile. In the 1980s, West Bureau hosted the pilot program for the K9 Platoon.
